Esthetician License in Idaho

Idaho licenses estheticians through the Idaho State Board of Cosmetology, administered by the Bureau of Occupational Licenses. Applicants must be at least sixteen and one-half years of age, complete two years of high school or equivalent, and complete 600 hours of esthetics training at a board-approved school. After graduation, candidates must pass both a written and practical examination. Idaho is one of the few states requiring annual license renewal rather than biennial, which means more frequent fees. The state does not require continuing education, and expedited processing is available for military members and spouses.
