Chiropractors License in West Virginia

West Virginia operates on a fiscal year (July 1 - June 30) with all licenses expiring annually on June 30. Annual renewal requires completion of the renewal form, 18 hours of continuing education (12 must be classroom hours, up to 6 may be online), and payment of the renewal fee ($300 for in-state, $150 for out-of-state). PLLC and Corporation renewals cost an additional $150 annually. The Board may mandate specific CE topics including communicable diseases, first aid, sexual boundaries, record keeping, and other subjects. CE programs must be approved by the Board and conducted by faculty from CCE-accredited schools. Newly graduated doctors are exempt from CE in their graduation year. Late renewal after July 1 incurs a late fee, and after July 30 an additional reinstatement fee. Licenses lapsed for 2+ years require passing the National SPEC exam. A DC degree and NBCE exams are required.
